How to Make a Soap Mold
When you make soap, a soap mold is required. It is possible to buy soap molds at craft stores, but it’s often easier to use common items to make your own soap mold. Use candy-making dishes to make decorative soaps or make round and square soap molds yourself. Make these soap molds in a matter of minutes.
Instructions.
Make a Round Soap Mold
1.1
Clean the PVC pipe with warm water. Dry the pipe thoroughly.
2.2
Place one end cap on the end of your PVC pipe.
3.3
Apply PVC cement to seal the cap onto the pipe.
4.4
Stand the pipe up and prop it up with something so it is vertical and it does not fall over.
5.5
Pour the soap into the pipe. Place the remaining end cap on the open end of the pipe. Once the soap sets you have a log of round soap.
Make a Rectangular Soap Mold
6.1
Build the rectangle with the two 15-inch pieces of plywood as the sides and two 7-inch pieces of plywood as the ends.
7.2
Lay the 16-1/2-inch plywood on top of the frame. Secure the end pieces to the bottom using the nails.
8.3
Attach hinges to the bottom. Put two on each side and attach the side to the bottom using the hinges.
9.4
Screw one side of the lock onto the end of the box. Attach the other side to the side of the box in order to lock the sides in place. Repeat the process on the other side and end of the box.
10.5
Line the box with wax paper before you add the soap.
The Development of Plastic Mold
Plastic mold has been developing about 40 years. It occupies a very important position in the plastic molding process. Plastic mold plays a very important part in the mold industry. Mold production technology is also a one of the important symbols of a country’s level in manufacturing process. In the international community, in order to make industrial molds for better development, some countries have propped up the relevant policies. Such as Japan developed a mechanical production of revitalization and make mold as a specific product to be developed in the 80-90 age. The United States has more than 10,000 mould of professional manufacturers the late 1990s. The total output value was more than 100 billion dollars.
In China, the design and yield of mold has been done from 100 years. The proportion of plastic mold in the import and export is as high as 50% to 60% these years. It becomes a comprehensive science and technology. At the same time, people has more and more understanding of polymers and the manufacturing process of the various parameters and change more and more in-depth understanding. The design of mold comes to a new stage as a means of quantify and simulation computer-based. Compared with plastic mold CAD/CAM and the traditional design methods, not only quality, speed and precision but also the mold manufacturing methods and productivity has a significant leap forward. China can supply plastic mould for kinds of pipe fittings, such as PPR PVC PE PB ABS…to the world. The features of molds: high precision, extended service life, short lead time, competitive price, prompt delivery and excellent after-sale service. Since china entered to WTO, it has brought great challenges and brought more opportunities for the plastic mold industry. There is a great advantage on the price because the plastic mold is Zhong Didang products mostly in china. Some products even sell 1/5 to 1/3 on the price of foreign products.
Foreign products impact domestic products weakly, while domestic products are increased in export volume. The High-precision molds were relied on imports mainly before our country entering WTO. At now days, not only highly sophisticated product imports have more convenience, and also encouraging more foreign investment to build factories in China, bringing advanced foreign technology and management experience in mold. The mold of professional training in China has played a role in promoting talent. China’s government has worked out relevant policies to promote industrial development mold. On China’s actual situation, we should reduce custom about the product that we couldn’t produce independently and perform related preferential policies well. We can accelerate the development of the industry and progress by police guidance.
With the development of the market, the diversification of molding methods and new plastic materials would be developed in the future. In order to meet the needs of the market, whether plastic mold species, structure, performance or processing are bound to faster development. What’s more such a development must keep pace with the times.
How to Make a Folding Chair
Folding chairs are very convenient to have around the house, in your RV, or even in the trunk of your car. There are plenty of different materials that folding chairs can be made of, including wood, aluminum, even plastic. As convenient as these folding chairs are, they aren’t the most attractive pieces of furniture. To find out how you can make your own wooden folding chair, and one that is more attractive than most folding chairs, follow the instructions below.
Instructions.
1.1
Use your handsaw to cut the board into two pieces–a longer piece that is 51 inches long and a shorter piece that is 40 inches long.
2.2
Trim 2 inches from each side of the longer board starting 15 inches from one end and extending all the way to the other end. The result should be a board that is 15 by 11 inches and then 7 by 36 inches. This piece will make the seat and the back leg, or support, for the folding chair.
3.3
Trace the thinned end of the longer board in the center of the shorter board 15 1/2 inches from one end. Find the center of the board that will be traced onto and the center of the board to be traced and line up these two points before tracing.
4.4
Drill a hole inside the area that you just traced so that your jigsaw can fit inside this area to cut it out.
5.5
Cut out the slot that you just traced using your jigsaw, making sure to cut away enough so you can slide the thinned end of the longer board through at an angle.
6.6
Slide the two boards together and try your chair out.
7.7
Redefine the angle of the seat plank. Since the boards won’t intersect at a right angle, you need to trim the back part of the seat where it rests against the other board so the two boards can rest flush against one another. To achieve this, draw a line from the upper corner of the side edge of the seat downward. The line should run parallel with the back of the chair.
8.8
Trim this small wedge of wood from each side of the back of your chair’s seat so that the seat can now rest flush again the back of your chair.
All You Wanted To Know About Mold Remediation
What is meant by mold remediation?
When we talk of mold remediation, we actually speak of cleaning up mold. If you have them growing in and around your home, you need to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Why is remediation required?
Growth of mold can lead to major health problems for you and your family. This is because they are known to be responsible for various health hazards and certain types of mold are even responsible for the cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). They can also cause infections, allergies, aggravate breathing problems, and even poison you. Some people have had to completely renovate their homes because of a particularly severe infestation.
Can remediation be done on your own?
Small scale remediation can be done without the need to call the professionals. But, if you are dealing with an area more than ten square feet, then expert help is required. However, if you are confident of taking proper safety precautions, then you can deal with the mold yourself.
Should you just scrub the mold off with bleach?
This should not be done because this releases mold spores into the air and people can inhale them; it also spreads them to other parts of the house. It is generally advised that the affected area is soaked for at least fifteen minutes before you try anything. Also many experts claim that bleaching doesn’t completely eradicate the problem of molds. You might want a solution that has been created especially for dealing with the problem of mold.
Once you get rid of them, is the problem solved?
No, the problem is not solved. You need to discover what caused them to occur. Then you will have to eliminate the cause. If you simply remove them without doing this, you are looking at a temporary reprieve. It is always better to prevent the cause of mold-growth than having to deal with the consequences.
While cleaning items like glass, tile, and even hard plastic is comparatively easy, in severe cases, retail mold removal products might not be enough. You might need to hire a professional remediation company for the job. This is required in case of extreme damage due to floods, or fire. These companies generally do the work on property whenever there is a lot of damage caused due to mold.
How to Glue Molding on a Car Door
Car door molding is the long rubber strips on the side of your car that protects your vehicle from the small dents and dings often acquired in parking lots. On occasion, the molding on your car door may become loose or detached. Gluing this molding back onto your door can be done by most car owners. All that’s required is the existing molding or new molding, and a few easily obtained items from an auto parts store.
Instructions.
1 Wet a clean rag with the adhesive remover until its damp. Use the adhesive remover to strip away the old adhesive on the car door. Rub the adhesive with the damp rag until it becomes soft and pliable. Scrape away the softened adhesive using the putty knife, taking care not to scratch the door paint.
2Wet a second rag with the denatured alcohol and go over the area where the adhesive was placed to remove any residue of the adhesive remaining from the scraping.
3Use the same cleaning process used on the door to remove the adhesive from the old molding strip, if the old strip is being reattached.
4Place strips of the double-sided molding tape to the molding mount area running down the side of the car. Run a strip across any area of the mount to which the molding will touch, using multiple strips when necessary due to the width of the molding.
5Peel the protective covering from the molding tape to expose the sticky surface for molding attachment.
6Measure the molding area on the car door and then cut new molding to fit the car door. Use an anvil pruner to make a straight cut through the molding. Cut the molding 1/8 inch shorter than the length of the door or car section to allow for unobstructed opening of the car door.
7Place the molding onto the strip of tape to secure it to the side of the car. Press the molding to the tape beginning at one side of the molding and working along the molding to the other side until the molding is in place. Press firmly on the placed molding using a rag until it is securely mounted against the door side. Wait three hours or overnight and then pressure-rub the molding in place again. The adhesive securing the molding in place should set completely in three to five days in warm climates, longer in colder climates.
How Is a Plastic Chair Made?
Rotational Molding
Plastic chairs are made in a number of ways, all of which involve metal molds carved into the desired shape. One of the most popular forms of furniture molding is known as rotational molding, in which a large metal mold is injected with plastic polymer powder. This is then heated to the melting point, and the mold is mechanically turned three-dimensionally in order to evenly distribute the polymers to the inside of the mold. After several minutes of spinning, the mold is cooled off and the rotation stops. The mold is opened and the new, completely hollow chair is removed.
Injection Molding
Injection molding is another method of plastic furniture making. Again, a metal mold is used, but this time the result is not hollow but solid plastic. This type of mold does not spin, but the polymers are heated at a predetermined rate and temperature. They’re then poured into the mold and cooled. A certain amount of precision must be used with this type of molding process because if the plastic is poured too slowly, it will dry too soon. If it is poured too quickly, the result will not be a uniform configuration of plastic. If done properly, the result is a plastic chair with no seams, molded all in one piece.
Gas Assisted Injection Molding
Injection molding can also be done with the help of gas that is blown at high velocity inside the mold, pushing the molten plastic out of certain parts of the mold. This creates channels in the plastic form that make the chair much more light in weight while at the same time maintaining its strength. All of the other aspects of injection molding remain the same, but the result is a chair with some parts that are hollow and other parts that are solid.
The plastics used in the chair-making process are usually a composite of several different types of plastics all blended together during the heating part of the molding process. This makes the chair much stronger than it might be if only one type of plastic was involved.

Children’s Folding Chair Mould Features: easy to carry, easy to store, beautiful appearance.
Sprue Bushings
Sprue bushings connect the nozzle of the injection molding machine to the runner system of the mold. Ideally, the sprue should be as short as possible to minimize material usage and cycle time. To ensure clean separation of the sprue and the bushing, the bushing should have a smooth, tapered internal finish that has been polished in the direction of draw (draw polished.) Also, the use of a positive sprue puller is recommended. The Three Common Sprue Pullers illustration shows three common sprue puller designs.
